Philippines’ pageant enthusiasts were surprised, stunned, and excited to see that former Binibining Pilipinas 2012 semifinalist Patricia Lae Ejercitado was handpicked to represent the Philippines in Miss International Carnival Queen in Curacao on January 31, 2013.
As per the pageant’s website, The International Carnival Queen Pageant (ICQ) is an annual International Carnival Pageant that is held in Curacao. This event started in 2010 with limited resources but with an aggressive promotion to strategic areas this event has become a well known and very attractive pageant in the world. With participation of contestants from different countries ranging from Central America, Caribbean, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
The pageant was founded in 2010 by Coridja Stars Productions presided by Corrine Djaoen-Genaro. Coridja Stars Productions has a team of professionals with more than 25 years of experience in Carnival & Beauty pageants and event coordination both local and internationally. The reigning queen is Yasmine Lima of Cape Verde.
Now on its 4th edition, the Philippines will debut on the pageant and raised hopes for Patricia Lae Ejercitado, TPQ believes that she is qualified and deserving to represent the country, though, no confirmation yet from her camp when will she be leaving for Curacao. Her FB fan page still has no say about it. Questions are arising and need answers and confirmation as well. Who sent her?, who is the franchisee for the Philippines? I have read before that Mr. Ovette Ricalde of Megastar Production owned the franchise.
Nevertheless, the best of luck for Patricia Lae, bring home the crown. Mabuhay ka Pinoy!!!!
